2010 - Happy New Year!

Time fleets and it's a new year again. 2009 is a good year for me and I believe 2010 will be an even better year. New clothes, new friends, new experience, new attitude, new resolutions, new challenges and a new life! Everything's gonna start fresh and I hope everyone will have a good year in 2010~ Let's leave our fears and regrets behind, has high hopes for 2010 and embrace this new decade with our youthful passion and energy! New Year - New Style!

*Here's a sharing from Petronas in New Straits Time, on Friday, 1 January 2010*
*I personally find this meaningful. Hope you guys like it too*

Some people hate
Some people love

Some people are procrastinators
Some people act now

Some people love to point fingers
Some people love to extend their hands

Some people question every answer
Some people have an answer to every question

Some people hate to lose an argument
Some people love to win hearts

Some people want a change
Some people want to be the change

Some people are blind except to their own colour
Some people are colour blind

Some people are proud to belong to their race
Some people take pride in belonging to the human race

This New Year, it is not about who is perfect
and who is not. It is about sharing One Legacy,
One Destiny, 1Malaysia. Because to build a great
nation we must all learn to see the perfections
in the imperfections.

Kahang Organic Rice Eco Farm

Updates....Kahang Trip on 2nd and 3rd of June 2009!

Went to Kahang Organic Farm during the holiday.
Organizer : STK Chinese Society and Basketball Club
Fee : Rm70 but worth it
AJK : Pin Pin, Xiao Huang, Ting Hoe, etc
Participants : Me, Soo Wei, Yong Liang, Xian Yang, Man Hong, Ah Khang, Eric, Da Huang, etc (Sakkai and Hcheun emo so didn't follow us)

Okay, it was a nice trip there, although there were many lower form students. As usual, there was competition among the teams. *Xian Yang with Man Hong* and *Soo Wei with me* shared 2nd place and *Yong Liang with Jit Khang* got 1st place (we fang shui 1). We form 6 students was self-highing and had crazy fun there.

The activities were nice lo. Kayaking was fun as it was the first time for me. It's hard to balance on the raft and many of us fell down. Then, I also tried fishing with a bamboo or wooden rod, caught 4 fish but i didnt dare to unhook the fish as it was splashing like it had never splashed b4...lol...too bad i havent got the photos yet. We also did transplanting for the paddies...actually just fooling around...our legs were in the mud water and there were 泥鳅 swimming past our legs...lolx...slippery and gao wet.

The food there also quite nice. All organic food so it's very healthy. Soo Wei and Man Hong ate vegetarian and they shared with us, so we were like eating super much food lo. Drank 有机糙米奶...taste good too.

Really felt refreshed during the 2 days especially after our mid year exam. Simple village life. Cycling around and frolicking in the nearby river - the water was cool and clean. And we also met 1 British engineer, quite handsome, but too bad we didnt have much time to liao him...haha.

This was my first time to Kahang and luckily we got to take many photos. That's all for this post. Won't be updating in the near future...wakaka~

YES! Man

NO!? You gonna be boo-ed if you utter out that word. Yes, I just watched "YES Man", albeit it was screened quite a long time ago. The notion of babbling YES all the time is good, but what catches me more is about LIVING MY LIFE!

I will skip the plot as you can catch them yourself. Now, what I want to stress on is living life to fullest. Saying YES will make our lives better, as
it actually ushers in all sorts of opportunities, be it good or bad, as long as it adds more colours to your life.

I was fascinated by something that the lead actress did - taking photos with Jim Carrey on the pillion seat, when riding motorbike on a busy street at night. It was a risky but adventurous scene. And this particular scene reminded me of some
thing I did when I was coming home from tuition in the town center.

I was on my bike and I found out that the sky was very beautiful, with different shades on colour when I was near my primary school, Chong Hwa 3
. The stunning skyline made me reached for my cell phone in my pocket. I had not been using the camera function of my phone for quite a long time, since its 1.3 megapixel seemed like a "cheat" for me =.= But then, I took it out to take a few photos of the sky. My hands were shaky since I was still riding on my bike. Argh, it was hard to control both the camera and the bike at the same time, and I feared that my phone would slip off. Haha, just like what the girl did in the movie. Wow, I did something special that was akin to that on the movie!

Here's the photos, not well taken but worth the try.

My point is that we can live out our lives by being willing to try out different things, no matter it seems totally silly or very hard to achieve. A different perspective can turn over our lives.

Really living my life is one of my life goal, and I will work hard for it. Hope you guys enjoy and treasure life as well :P

YYYYY Bday

Today was Yan Ying's Birthday. Happy birthday to her and wish her always be happy! Enclosing a joke here which I have told her before - What animal is the most honest in the animal kingdom? ...............................It's Hippo!!! (As "Hips Don't Lie!)

So, yesterday we went out to Kluang mall first and changed place to Wall Street till 12am+. 4+1 came back from KL, Hung & Nee, Wee Chuan and Zee Chun with his friend cum roomate cum playmate cum ...., Eden. Nice to meet this handsome boy and glad that we are taking the same route, being an actuary. And the Singapore gang was there, as usual, as they are having a long holiday.

Had fun, with being able to see KL gang, and having an outing with Kluang gang, as we are busy with studies as exam is imminent. Oh! I meant STPM, not the small test which is around the corner! Orange as usual, always has something up his sleeve to stun us, leaked some ground-breaking news, leaving us hurling mountains of questions on him, but let's not talk about it anymore, else he gets angry. As cheerful as usual, with his own trademark laughs, it's never dull to have him around you. He's also getting better in playing pool, but still way beyond Jovi's level.

Jason, an unfamiliar name but with a familiar characteristic and diction. Confidence is what can be seen in him, and through time, it only grows and will keep on growing, beyond the benchmark for being a real psychologist. Soon he will be 1 and I truly believe in it. Bringing his friend, Eden, he was handling the situation well, mingling and reminisce with us while not overlooking Eden, maybe because of the helping hand from Ah Teck who was never cold, or due to Eden's innate nature that makes him appears comfortably in between the corners of our eyes, but the main reason is no doubt the tactness present in Jason, which I have been seeking it for a long time, yet still far to reach.

Coming next is the COOL couple, Hung & Nee. Camera bag transformed into big heavy laptop bag, and I was being entrusted to take care of it a while at my first sight of Hung. Nee was complaining about us, with her typical "a bit pek cek" but mild style, that we were never slow at grabbing photos from her, while she was on for her exams.

Besides, I get to see the brand new Adidas football (that doesn't look like 1 literally) Jovi brought to the field, with some players like tung, pin, hsien and Nicholas assisting him until he scored a GOAL!! (Even Hon Cheun was in for it :P) They wanted to introduce the football to me, but it was not the day, maybe another sports will appeal to me better at that moment.

The clock turned 12am, and the song "Happy Birthday to YY" was the song of the day. After having our cake and hanging around for a while, we went home, each heading different routes, back to our own lives, but I believe the roads will intersect now and then, out of surprise, and might eventually lead to Rome!

I have to be frank about this, this post was inspired by Wee's newest post. I ain't really into updating, unless something special intrigued my mind to start working on sentimental stuffs. Here's the cornerstone for my ideas. A simple one indeed, yet reminding. He wrote about missing his BLUE room, and I was stunned at that very moment, racking my brain to recollect what the hell colour was painted on my room. My memories fail me, so I walked to my room to check out the colour that I have been sleeping with for years. Guess what?! PINK was the answer! Very pale pink to be exact. And the reason why I can't remember it? My room was the place for me to go into slumber (Naps are at a different room), to dress & undress and to look at the mirror after taking my bath or before going out. That's all! And that's the reason! Decipher it out yourself!

On the way back home, by Hon Cheun with his undoubtedly highly skilled driving skills, Nic asked me about my performance in school and told me about a top scorer in Kulai (if I didn't remember wrongly). Surprisingly, it turned out to be a girl, taking the Biology streams. Msn? Nic offered. No harm having it and that's a yes. My philosophy? Meeting with people highly up the tree will provide the drive for me to be on par with them, as turning my head up to look at them for a long time would be painful and even lead to a cramp. Time to continue watching Benjamin Buttons, before proceeding to my "Mind Map Fantasies" that I wasn't still sure of its effectiveness per unit time expended.

Hope my once-in-a-long-while post make up for my reader's "maybe evanescent" (I can't read their mind) avidity for my life written through a blog. Enjoy!

Olympiad Chemistry Quiz 2009

On 13th Feb, Ka Ong from Biology class and I went to Universiti Malaya by ourselves since the school told us that our participation in this level was not their responsibility any more. Ka Ong’s friend who was going to Tarc followed along on the 9.30am bus and guided us on how to take the LRT there. We took the LRT to Universiti and walked towards the direction which we guessed should be the right one, carrying our heavy luggage bags. Luckily, we got it and reached there successfully.

At the admin office, we took passport-sized photos and checked in out room 602 in the hostel there. At night, we mingled around with other participants after we were given a briefing on the activities. Only then we realized that almost half of them have finished their STPM exam so they had an advantages since there are many topics yet to be covered by our teachers in school. Anyway, we just came for some experiences and exposure, unlike others who brought many reference books along with them. They were shocked to see us without any books and thought we were experts already! =.= What a joke! So, we spent the night talking and the seniors gave us many inspiring advices and tips on excelling in our studies.

The following day was about 2 lectures, 1 on the background of the chemistry quiz while the latter was on the general studies of chemistry, which appealed to me quite well. Then, it’s time for some real business. After lunch, the 3-hour quiz started. I only answered 5 out of 20 questions :P They were just too hard and we haven’t learned them yet.

The activity next day was the interview, where we had to do a presentation for a topic given randomly to us. I got the topic “thermodynamics” which I haven’t learn yet. Haha. I told the interviewer about the progress in my school and simply talked about it.

After the interview and a bath, Ka Ong and I took a taxi to AMCorp Mall. When we reached there, there were many people there. But as soon as we entered the mall, the atmosphere changed…something akin to Kluang Parade. Dinner at Uncle Chilli cost me RM13.00. I bought a book at the Popular there, “The Last Lecture” by Randy Pausch since I couldn’t find it in Kluang.

On Sunday, we went home by our teacher’s car and reached home at about 1.30pm. Rushing my homework and I am out again in Kluang Mall at 5.30pm to see Genie Zhuo Wen Xuan. Quite beautiful and sweet :P

During the 4 days, I missed our class moral sketch, Sports Day and the PBSM marching. Luckily, I didn’t miss much lessons as everyone was busy preparing for the Sports Day. Anyway, school was back and the load of homework was increasing as days passed. I started to feel the pressure after I discovered that the many topics that would come out in the next exam in March required much more time to study and understand them. So, its time to work my … off again! Way to go!
